ROSEMARY & CO is a family run business in England that makes fantastic travel brushes and other brushes for watercolour artists.
The Classic Filbert is very popular with oil painters.
The oval end can be used to both make sweeping strokes but also fine lines when held vertically.
This shape tends to be favoured by portrait painters.
The Classics are made from 90% bristle, 10% synthetic.
The synthetic mix in there allows for more spring and helps when cleaning the brush.
This blend of bristle and strong synthetic is ‘interlocked’ allowing the brush to retain it’s original shape for much longer.
HOW TO CLEAN THE BRUSH
OIL BRUSH
Start with wiping your brushes on a rag or paper towel. You should then wash them thoroughly with a good soap. To clean them thoroughly you can use a dish soap. Don’t endorse the use of mineral spirits or solvents. They are quicker for the process; they are a known brush killer.
