Daniel Smith Pablo Reuben’s Master Artist watercolor (Set of 10 tubes)
Daniel Smith Pablo Reuben’s Artist knew he was an artist at a very young age. As a child in Spain, he painted and even proudly won a local drawing contest. He began working with oil paints and acrylics at the age of 18, before falling in love with watercolor. With over 500 national and international awards, he is primarily focused on Plein Air competitions, as well as teaching his love of art.
“I enjoy plein air because it requires starting with a strong composition and working out creative solutions on the spot, since it’s challenging to make corrections with watercolor. You have to just forge ahead. The idea for a painting begins with something I see. I find pleasure in seeing many things, but there are few things that are perfect to paint well.”
The Daniel Smith Pablo Ruben Master Artist set is collection of 10 Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors selected by the artist Pablo Ruben for painting atmospheric landscapes.
The set includes essential colors for creating his signature style, particularly for water and landscape themes, with a focus on vibrant, transparent, and lightfast pigments.
The color collection was carefully curated by Pablo Ruben himself, reflecting his artistic preferences and techniques.
The colors are chosen to capture the nuances of light and atmosphere in landscapes, especially water scenes.
Daniel Smith watercolors are known for their excellent lightfastness and permanence, ensuring the longevity of the artwork.
There are some colors that are always essential to how he works, and these colors are always in the palette he creates with. “Carrelets” is the work that appears on the packaging of the Master Set, seen in full above with Pablo, and was painted using his favorite blues and greens in the water reflections.
“In this careful selection of DANIEL SMITH colors, I have the essentials to make any of my atmospheric landscapes. Four different blues with which I work my water themes, warm and earth colors to achieve a wide range of beautiful greens for any type of vegetation, mixed with the blues, and infinite lovely grays. You can feel the extra high quality in every brushstroke.” – Pablo
